Easter Seals Southwest Florida

Easterseals Southwest Florida—also known as Happiness House—has been part of the Sarasota-Manatee community since 1946. They offer the highest quality of care and services to children, youth and adults with special needs, so that they can enjoy access, opportunities and increased life choices. Easterseals Southwest Florida is committed to remaining a leader in special needs services—an organization to which individuals and their families can turn for resources and support with a continuum of care throughout their lives.

Programs include:

Early Childhood

The Lily Preschool serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in an inclusive, licensed early childhood program, with support from speech, OT, and behavioral therapies alongside the Play Project for children with autism.

K-12 Education

Easterseals Academy serves Manatee and Sarasota County students through age 22 with developmental, physical, learning, and mild behavioral disabilities, including autism, with enrichment in arts, yoga, nutrition, and equine therapies.

Therapy Services

A comprehensive range of therapies is available, including speech, occupational, physical, behavioral, music, and neurofeedback therapies, as well as hippotherapy and equine-assisted learning at their InStride Ranch facility in Nokomis.

Adult Enrichment

Personal, social, and work skill training for adults with disabilities, including virtual reality training, employment services, and a Victory Garden program.

Autism & Diagnostic Services

Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for clients ages two through adulthood, performed by licensed clinical psychologists, with a sliding fee scale available.

Veterans & First Responders

Programs and services to support those who have served.
