The next chapter for Manasota BUDS
Manasota BUDS remains an all-volunteer organization powered by dedicated parents and family members who balance careers, caregiving, and full lives. This reality calls for a smarter, more sustainable operating model—one that protects our mission while respecting the capacity of the people who make this organization possible.
What’s Changing
Beginning in 2026, BUDS will transition from directly running programs and events to partnering with trusted third-party providers who specialize in program delivery. This allows us to focus on funding and impact while maintaining high-quality services in a streamlined, simplified manner.
BUDS will not directly operate programs. We will contract with experienced partners to deliver programs. Therefore, we are not accepting program or service volunteers other than Board members and Advisory Board members at this time.
How you can be part of the future
As we enter this next phase, community involvement remains essential. Looking for meaningful ways to serve? Become a Board member!
Board of Directors or Advisory Board Member (Approximately 15 hours per year)
- Two-year term
- A monthly commitment to meeting on the first Thursday of the month from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Zoom.
- Board members who miss more than 2 consecutive meetings will be automatically replaced for the good of the organization.
